Let me tell you a little about myself. I’m Harry Williams and I love to travel. I was born and brought up in Bristol, and call London my home these days. For me, travel is either for work or pleasure. Now and again I can manage both at the same time, which is nice!

I run my own small business in IT consultancy. I help other small businesses find ways to grow using IT, and then design exactly what they need to take them forward. This involves travelling from one end of the country to the other – literally from Lands End to John O’Groats!

And along the way I have become an expert in finding the best (and the cheapest) places to stay.

Every place I visit has a local secret or two, and a classic site or fascinating museum to explore. The UK is stuffed with history, culture and great pubs (but you already knew that, right?), and I want to help you visit as many as possible – whatever your budget.

Whether I’m going to meetings or exploring a new town or city, I always have to find somewhere to stay. That’s when my love of a bargain kicks in, and I get online to see what I can find. Call me Scrooge (call me smart!) but I’ve come to realise that it’s always a good time for a trip when you know how to hunt for cheap hotels.

My girlfriend really enjoys going away with me. Food, photography and checking out interesting  stuff in new towns is as much fun for her as it is for me. We’ve had so many magical breaks in the UK, enjoying top of the range facilities at knock-down prices, that I decided it was time to share with you.

Times may be tough these days, but this is a good thing, when it comes to finding hotel deals. Let me put it this way: hotels don’t want empty rooms, right? And they want to stay in business, too! From guest houses to major branded hotels, the smart ones let us know about the vacant rooms they have, just waiting for you to pick them up, at crazy prices.
